What is Module 4 CPC?
The Module 4 CPC is the safety demonstration or practical part of your Initial Driver CPC Qualification. Passing it allows you to become a professional HGV/LGV /PCV Driver.
Once you have successfully passed your Module 1 Theory and Module 2 CPC Case Studies, you can take the CPC Module 4 test.

Our modern and well-equipped training centre allows for same-day training and testing of your CPC Module 4.
CPC Mod 4
Module 4 focuses on safety and security, ensuring new drivers can demonstrate various procedures and operations required to meet legal requirements.
Your examiner will explain various scenarios you could face in your working life. You then need to explain and show in practice how you would handle these situations.
There are 5 to 6 questions per scenario, and to pass, you must score 15 out of a possible 20 points in each topic area (75%) and an overall score of 80%.
Mod 4 Topic Areas
- Ability to load the vehicle with due regard for safety rules and proper vehicle use
- Security of the vehicle and its contents
- Ability to prevent criminality and trafficking in illegal immigrants
- Ability to assess emergencies
- Ability to prevent physical risk
- The examiner will inform of your result at the end of the test
